Echo Valley Kennels is located in Galion, Ohio on ten acres giving our chesapeake bay retrievers plenty of room to get much needed exercise and entertainment to develop their bodies and minds. Our puppies are raised around children and friends to ensure that they will be wonderful family companions. We do all health screenings including OFA and CERF on all our breeding animals to keep the incidence of hip and eye problems to a minimum. Our puppies are wonderful companion, show, hunting and obedience candidates. All pups are sold under limited registration unless they are show quality. The first time I saw a chessie was when I was 16 years old working at a petstore. I had seen pictures of them in books and magazines, but never one in person. This dog was beautiful. Nice sized dog, thick brown coat and of course those amber eyes. From then on I just had to get a chessie.
My first chessie was brought home the first few months after my husband and I bought our first home. She was a great puppy. So smart and loyal. They are so great that you can't have just one!
We strive to produce the perfect chessie. We make sure our breeding stock is healthy, happy, and free of genetic diseases. We feel that a chessie should be beautiful, smart, loyal, protective and loving. Our dogs all have great temperaments, and are well socialized. We do everything in our power to ensure that our puppies turn into wonderful adult dogs.
